Victory: EPA restricts Monsanto’s bee-killing insecticide
Big news in the fight to save bee populations from pesticides: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently announced that it won’t approve any new or expanded uses of bee-killing neonicotinoid pesticides while it continues to study the threats they pose to honey bees and other pollinators.
This is a huge step in our fight to save vital pollinators from pesticides, which has mobilized over 600,000 CREDO Action members with petitions and calls. We’re proud that our members have generated over $1,090,000 in donations to groups leading the fight against neonicotinoids, including Friends of the Earth, Organic Consumers Association and Food Democracy Now!
Still, these EPA’s actions don’t go far enough. CREDO will continue the fight to push the EPA to ban the use of bee-killing pesticides completely.
