The latest Republican attack on women
Here they go again.
Republicans in Congress have introduced another bill to cut off women’s access to health care. This time they are trying to eliminate Title X, the only federal program devoted to providing low-income women with family planning services, birth control, well-woman visits, and STD and cancer screenings.1
Why do Republicans want to cut a program that not only provides vital medical care to nearly 4.6 million women but saved around two billion dollars last year?2 Because a quarter of Title X funds go to Planned Parenthood clinics. And there’s no better way to score political points with your extremist, anti-woman base, than to attack Planned Parenthood, no matter the consequences for women and their families.

Worked out in secret by government negotiators and corporate lobbyists, the TPP would supersede U.S. laws. It would offshore jobs and undermine wages. Victory: NFL gives up tax-exempt status
The NFL earns billions in revenue every year, but hasn’t paid a dime in taxes since the 1960s because it’s considered a “nonprofit organization.”
More than 434,000 CREDO activists have taken action over the last two years to pressure the NFL to give up its tax-exempt status. We’ve petitioned the NFL directly and called on Congress to strip the tax-exempt status from the NFL or force NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to testify before the House Oversight Committee about the NFL’s nonprofit status.

Big Telecom sues over net neutrality
We scored a huge victory over Big Telecom companies like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon when the Federal Communications Commission announced plans to enact strong rules to protect net neutrality under Title II. But now, AT&T is challenging the FCC’s decision in court. CREDO is intervening in the lawsuit on the other side—to defend the FCC’s tough new rules.
