7 Twitter accounts every progressive should follow
Who do you follow on Twitter? What progressives have the most interesting feeds and share the best information? Here is our list of some thoughts that people in the CREDO Mobile HQ office had about who you should follow on Twitter.
@ElizabethForMA
Of course we have to start with Senator Elizabeth Warren. If you are not following @ElizabethForMA you are missing out. No account on Twitter has gotten more under Donald Trump’s skin or made him more irritated.
Explain why you want to let Wall Street off the hook, @realDonaldTrump. https://t.co/5tpKNIjVdt

Cha Lorena is a staff attorney with the ACLU’s LGBT & AIDS Project. He also founded the Lorena Borjas Community Fund, which provides direct bail/bond assistance to LGBTQ immigrants in criminal and immigration cases. His legal expertise in these areas is unmatched, as is the insight he shares on Twitter.
Just landed in Charlotte (four hours delayed) for tomorrow’s HB2 hearing. We are going to Court against McCrory et al. for trans folks.

Imani Gandy wears many hats. She is the Senior Legal Analyst at Rewire News, the co-host of This Week in Blackness, and a prolific tweeter on issues of race and gender equality. Her writing is punchy and powerful, just as Twitter should be.

WATCH: Dangerous Donald can’t be trusted with nuclear codes
Last week, Donald Trump encouraged an adversarial foreign power — Russia — to cyberspy on a secretary of state’s emails: “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” he said referring to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
But even before that, Trump’s temperament and tendency to lash out at critics have raised serious questions about his fitness to have access to the nation’s nuclear codes. In a new video launched today, CREDO uses the words of Sen. Bernie Sanders, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Sec. Hillary Clinton to make the case that Donald Trump can not be trusted with access to nuclear weapons or classified national security briefings.

No classified national security briefings for Donald Trump
It’s stunning.
Donald Trump just asked Russia to spy on the United States. Here’s how the New York Times reported the news (emphasis ours):
Donald J. Trump said Wednesday that he hoped Russia had hacked Hillary Clinton’s email, essentially encouraging an adversarial foreign power’s cyberspying on a secretary of state’s correspondence.
“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said, staring directly into the cameras. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”
Let’s be clear: Trump’s encouragement of a dangerous dictator like Vladimir Putin to commit espionage and publicize state secrets poses serious national security concerns, and may violate federal law. This unprecedented action is even more horrifying given that Trump is scheduled to start receiving classified national security briefings as soon as next week.
This cannot happen.

Rock Against the TPP kick-off concert in Denver draws huge crowds

More than a thousand concert-goers streamed into Summit Music Hall in Denver Saturday to see Rock Against the TPP, headlined by Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Prophets of Rage, and Audioslave) and a slate of performers and celebrities.
People simultaneously jammed to their favorite songs – including Morello’s version of “Solidarity Forever” and the Naughty by Nature-inspired “Down with TPP” – and learned about the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). A 25-foot blimp displaying opposite-facing arrows that read “Democracy” and “TPP” flew over the venue ahead of the rally to drive home the message.

3 tips for limiting Facebook data usage
Mobile data puts the world at your fingertips. But overage charges? Not so great. Luckily, there are ways to limit data consumption by apps like Facebook, which is one of hungrier apps on your phone. In fact, casual Facebook browsing on your phone consumes almost 2MB of data per minute. Spend 40 minutes a day at the site (the U.S. average back in 2014) and you’re using 2.4 GB of data per month on Facebook alone. And that’s not counting the data that Facebook uses while it runs in the background.
Here’s how to learn exactly how much data your Facebook app is using. On your Android device, open Settings and select Data usage. You’ll see a graph that shows your monthly data usage, below the graph, data usage by Facebook and other apps. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings and select Cellular. Scroll down to view your data usage and scroll down a bit more to see data usage by Facebook and other apps.
If you’d like to limit the data your Facebook app uses, here are three steps you can take to put Facebook on a diet of smaller bytes.
